NATIONAL PARKS
13 National Parks in Panama:

1. Altos de Campana – Located in the province of Panama near the Capira and Chame districts.
2. Camino de Cruces National Park – Located in the neighborhood of Ancon in the province of Panama.
3. Cerro La Hoya National Park – Located between the provinces of Veraguas and Los Santos on the west side of the Azuero Peninsula.
4. Chagres National Park – Located between the provinces of Panama and Colon.
5. Coiba National Park – Located in the province of Veraguas and forms the Archipelago de Pajaros, Central Islands as well as the islands of Jicarón Jicarita, Coiba, Canal and Rancherita.
6. Darién National Park – Located in the province of Darien (both a World Heritage site and a biosphere reserve).
7. Golfo de Chiriquí National Marine Park – Located in the province of Chiriquí.
8. Isla Bastimentos National Marine Park – Located in the province of Bocas del Toro.
9. La Amistad International Park – This park`s boundaries cross over into Costa Rica and is located in Bocas del Toro.
10. Portobelo National Park – Located in the province of Colon.
11. Parque Nacional – Located in the province of Panama, located on the south side of Gamboa.
12. Sariqua National Park – Located in the province of Herrera in the district of Parita.
13. Volcan Barú – Located in the province of Chiriquí near the Talamanca mountains.

Other protected areas:

• Canglon Forest Reserve – Located in the province of Darién after passing the town of Guabo.
• El Caño Archeological Park – Located in the province of Coclé between Churube and Nata.
• El Montuoso Forest Reserve – Located in the province of Herrera between the borders of the provinces of Veraguas and Los Santos.
• Filo de Tallo Hydrographic Reserve – Located in the province of Darién passing the town of Metetí.
Fortuna Reserve Forest – Located in the Province of Chiriquí.
• Humedal Punta Patiño – Located in the Province of Darién in the Gulf of San Miguel in the Pacific Ocean.
• Isla Cañas Wild Life Refuge – Part of the province of Los Santos located in the Pacific Ocean.
• Isla Iguana and Pedro Barrios Wild Life Refuge – Part of the province of Los Santos located in the Pacific Ocean.
• La Tronosa Forest Reserve – Located in the province of Los Santos bordering the Pacific Ocean.
• Metropolitan National Park – Located in Panama City.
• Nargana Wild Life Protected Area – Located in the Kuna Yala district which borders the Caribbean Sea.
• Omar Torrijos Herrera National Park – Located in the province of Coclé bordering the province of Colon.
• San Lorenzo National Park – Located in the province of Colon just past Gatun Locks of the Panama Canal and borders the Caribbean Sea.
• Santa Fe National Park – Located in the province of Veraguas at the Golfo de los Mosquitos bordering the Carribbean Sea.
